Updates and Appreciation!

Spring is just around the corner, (or at least it is teasing us that it is!) and we at Newark Valley Community Connection are happy to share some exciting news and upcoming events!

First! A Big Thank You to Our Supporters!

We’re so delighted to announce that we have completed the installation of mini-split heating and air conditioning units in our hall, making our space more comfortable year-round! This project was made possible thanks to generous grants from the Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation and the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation. We are so grateful for their support in helping us improve our community space!

March Events You Won’t Want to Miss

 March 2 – Mardi Gras Brunch & Alpha Brass Band

Kick off March in style! Join us at noon for a festive Mardi Gras Brunch, followed by an exciting performance from the Alpha Brass Band. Expect great food, lively music, and a celebration to kick off March in style! $10 Suggested Donation, $8 Senior Citizens and Children under 10 RSVP's appreciated.

 March 6 & March 20 – Line Dancing Nights

Get your boots ready! Line dancing returns on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, come enjoy an evening of fun and movement.

March 10th-Monday Lunch

Join us for your choice of soups and sandwiches. $5 Senior Citizens, $7 General

March 16 – Volunteer & Supporter Appreciation Dinner

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Please! If you’ve volunteered or donated to NVCC in the past year, we invite you to a special Appreciation Dinner at 2 PM. We’ll provide the main course and ask guests to bring a dish to share. Please RSVP to let us know you’re coming so we can plan the main course amount!

 March 13 – Open Paint Night

Unleash your creativity at our Open Paint Night! No experience is necessary—just come ready to have fun and create something unique. All material provided, so just come and create!

 March 30 – Sterling Silver Earring Workshop

We are especially excited to announce a Sterling Silver Earring Jewelry-Making Workshop led by a trained jewelry craftsman. Participants will have the opportunity to craft their own beautiful sterling silver earrings. Tickets are Limited. More details and registration information is on our website!
