As summer is in full swing, we at Newark Valley Community Connection are thrilled to announce a lineup of exciting events to engage and support our community. Here’s what’s coming up:

**Monday Lunch – July 8

Join us for our Monthly Monday Lunch on July 8, featuring a delicious Summer Shrimp Scampi. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a great meal and connect with your neighbors. Lunch will be served from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at our community center.

**Drop-In Screening Day – July 10

On Wednesday, July 10, from 1 PM to 4 PM, Tioga Opportunities will host a Drop-In Screening Day at our center. Services offered include:

- Free blood sugar checks

- Blood pressure screening

- Lead testing

- Free feminine products

- Tick kits

And much more! Take advantage of these free health screenings and resources.

**Newark Valley Summerfest – July 27

We’re excited to be part of Newark Valley Summerfest on July 27, located at Newark Valley Trout Ponds Park. Come by our booth for carnival games and delicious food. It’s a great day out for the whole family, and we can’t wait to see you there!

**Monday Lunch – August 12

Our next Monthly Monday Lunch is set for August 12. Stay tuned for the menu, but you can expect another fantastic meal and an opportunity to meet and mingle with community members.

**Spook Hill 5K Trail Run and Fun Run – August 17

Mark your calendars for August 17 for the Spook Hill 5K Trail Run, Fun Run, and Children’s Bike and Ride fundraiser. This event is co-hosted by us, along with the Northern Tioga Chamber of Commerce, Spook Hill Farm, NYSUT, and Confluence Running and will help raise funds for biking and hiking trail development and youth programs. It’s a wonderful way to support community initiatives while staying active. There will be live music, food and fun!

This designation is a significant milestone for us, as it enhances our ability to raise funds and expand our programs.
