A Spooktacular Season at Newark Valley Community Connection: Haunted Halls, Halloween Cookies & Live Music!

It’s been an incredible Halloween season here at Newark Valley Community Connection, filled with fun, creativity, and community spirit! Our Haunted Halls event was a fantastic success, bringing in nearly 150 kids and families who braved the spooky halls and helped us raise close to $500 to support future community programs. A huge thank you to our amazing team of volunteers for making this event such a memorable experience with their creativity and dedication. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Adding to the fun, our Halloween Cookie Decorating class was a blast! Led by the talented Meredith, everyone enjoyed crafting and tasting their own festive creations. It was a wonderful time to get creative, share some laughs, and celebrate the Halloween season together.

And we’re not done yet! On Halloween night, we’ll be handing out candy to all the little ghouls, ghosts, and goblins who stop by in costume. Come by for some treats as we celebrate the holiday with our community!

Looking forward, don’t miss our upcoming free night of live music and line dancing on Friday, November 1. The night will kick off at 6:00 pm with Red’s Line Dancing, who will lead a fun and easy line dance lesson, followed by live country tunes from Clark Jackson and his band. This event is open to everyone, so bring friends and family for a night of music, dancing, and community fun!

We’re grateful for the support from the Village of Newark Valley, the Statewide Community Regrant Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with help from the Office of the Governor, our state legislators, and the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, making these events possible.
